Brownfield Ag Weather Today

Tropical Storm Nicole will Track northeastward and further weaken, reaching New England on Saturday as a post-tropical or extratropical cyclone.  Coastal impacts will gradually diminish, although the Atlantic Seaboard will continue to experience large waves and heavy surf.  Additional precipitation associated with Nicole could reach 2 to 4 inches or more, with heavy rain extending as far inland as the northern-most Appalachians.  Meanwhile, an early-season winter storm will wind down by tonight across the north-central U.S., although cold weather will expand in the storm’s wake.  During the next several days, sub-zero temperatures will affect the northern Plains, while weekend freezes should reach as far south as the Gulf Coast States, including parts of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.  Early next week, a chilly rain may develop across the South, with some frozen or freezing precipitation possible on the southern Plains.
