Brownfield Ag Weather Today

During the next 5 days, a trio of storms will result in unsettled, wet weather across large sections of the country.  The initial storm, currently an innocuous-looking system crossing the southern Plains, will intensify during the weekend over the Southeast.  Storm-total rainfall could reach 2 to 4 inches or more from western Florida to the coastal Carolinas, while wet snow may blanket the central and southern Appalachians and neighboring foothills.  The second storm will dive southward during the weekend along the Pacific Coast, delivering rain and snow showers primarily from California into the Southwest.  Early next week, precipitation (rain and wet snow) associated with the second system will spread from the southern Plains into the Midwest.  Finally, a third (and stronger) storm will closely trail the previous system, resulting in widespread precipitation across the West during the first half of next week.
