Weather to remain quite mild; moderately active pattern continues, as well, across the Heartland

Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or above-normal temperatures nationwide, except for cooler-than-normal conditions in portions of the Pacific Coast States and western Nevada.

Meanwhile, below-normal precipitation in much of the East, as well as the Desert Southwest and an area along the Canadian border from eastern Montana to Michigan, should contrast with wetter-than-normal weather across northern New England and most of the western and central U.S.
