CME milk futures mostly lower, cash dairy mixed Friday

Milk futures were mostly down and cash dairy prices mixed Friday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

March Class III milk was up $0.01 at $17.65.  April was down $0.06 at $17.83.  May was down $0.06 at $18.28.  June was down $0.05 at $18.78.  July through January contracts ranged from unchanged from September into next year down to six cents lower in July.

Dry whey was up $0.01 at $0.45.  One sale was recorded at that price.

Cheese blocks were up unchanged at $1.88.  No sales were recorded.

Cheese barrels were unchanged at $1.5475.  Three sales were recorded at that price.

Butter was down $0.0450 at $2.4575.  Three sales were recorded from $2.3750 to $2.4025.

Nonfat dry milk was unchanged at $1.22.  No sales were recorded.

The markets are closed Monday, February 20th for the President’s Day holiday, and will re-open Tuesday.
