Bigger than they expected

Indiana farmers prayed hard for rain this summer, as the drought that strangled Illinois and Missouri closed in on the Hoosier State as well. Prayers were answered, rains came and the crop was made in most parts of the state. But just how good was it?

With most of the harvest wrapping up, things look very good. That’s according to an AP article from the Indianapolis Star on Monday. Farmers are reporting near record crops — a big surprise from where they thought they’d be just a couple of months ago.
