Flash flooding

Storms moving through mid-Missouri Wednesday, April 10 brought flash flooding to several areas. The low-water crossing on Brownfield’s Cyndi Young-Puyear’s farm was impassable for several hours as the water flowing in this branch rushed to the creek. Throughout most of the year, this crossing is dry. Cyndi didn’t have to wait it out for more than an hour, as her husband drove the John Deere 4230 across to bring her to the other side. The next morning, she was able to walk across without getting the tops of her boots wet.
