Keeping flavored milk in schools

A proposal from the USDA earlier this year suggested removing flavored milk, like chocolate, from school meal service in elementary and middle schools across the country.  The argument is that it would help reduce calorie and sugar consumption.

Matt Herrick with the International Dairy Foods Association says the move would be counterproductive and would result in less milk consumed and reduced access to essential nutrients.
