John Deere TruSet allows for tillage “on the go”

For the first time with tillage equipment John Deere customers can make changes on the go.

Product Line Manager Nathan Kramer says Deere tillage products and others like them can take 12 to 20 minutes to make adjustments.

“With TruSet technology, you’re going to make those adjustments from in the cab, and they’re going to make (the adjustments) in six seconds.  That’s a 200 times improvement over what they were able to do before.  Having that ability and the ease of use to do it is really going to insure that now they can start making the adjustments within varying field conditions.”

He uses end-rows as an example of how TruSet makes it easier for the operator.

“TruSet, with a push of a button, is allowing the ripper points, maybe the discs, to go deeper.  Then when you get into the rest of the field, less traveled areas, you bring those ripper points up a bit.  You still find where the hard pan is, but it’s probably shallower.  That’s going to start to optimize the tractor performance and the implement as well.”

TruSet tillage technology is available on the John Deere 2730 Ripper compatible with a 300 horsepower or higher 8 or 9 Series tractor.
