2019-2020 National FFA Team Elected

Emotions were high as the lights dimmed in Lucas Oil Stadium and the announcer named the new National FFA officer team.

Ohio native Kolesen McCoy will lead the organization as president.

“I’m thrilled to be able to meet members from all across our nation and be a voice for our students, I’m really looking forward to meeting some amazing people this year,” he says.

McCoy is an agribusiness and applied economics major at Ohio State University.

Tess Seibel, of Virginia, says she’s looking forward to serving an organization that has taught her to be comfortable in her own skin.

“FFA has shown me that it’s okay to show up and it’s better to show up and be who you are and that means being authentic every single day and every single interaction,” she says.

Seibel, the new national eastern region vice president, is a nursing major at James Madison University.

Kourtney Lehman, of Oregon, is the new national secretary.

“I was really lucky to have two amazing FFA advisors who got me here today and they taught me that FFA is about so much more than advocating for agriculture, which is so important, but it’s also about becoming the best you within the blue jacket,” she says.

Lehman is an agricultural business management major at Oregon State University.

Lyle Logemann, an agricultural education major at Eastern New Mexico University, is the new western region vice president.

Mamie Hertel, a financial engineering major at Montana State University, is the new central region vice president.

Yomar Roman, an office administration major at Universidad de Puerto Rico, is the new southern region vice president.
