45% of Ohio corn, 54% of soybeans rated good to excellent

The USDA says dry conditions continued despite increased precipitation in Ohio last week.

The corn crop is rated 45 percent and soybeans are rated 54 percent good to excellent.

Ninety-one percent of corn is in the dough stage, 39 percent is dented, and one percent of the crop is mature. 

Ninety-seven percent of soybeans are setting pods and 8 percent are dropping leaves.
