70% of Indiana corn and soybeans are in good to excellent condition

The USDA says a dry week that ended in storms did not slow corn and soybean emergence last week in Indiana.

According to the latest crop progress and condition report, 70 percent of the state’s corn crop is in good to excellent condition.

Ninety-five percent of soybeans in Indiana have emerged. Seventy percent of the crop is in good to excellent condition. 

Seventy-six percent of winter wheat is rated good to excellent, and twelve percent of the crop has been harvested.
