80% of soybeans, 70% of corn harvested in Illinois

Corn and soybean harvest continue ahead of the average pace in Illinois.

The USDA reports as of Sunday 70% of corn is harvested, up from 52% the week before and three percentage points ahead of the five-year average.

Soybean harvest is 80% complete, up from 51% the prior week and 9 percentage points ahead of average.

Winter wheat planting is 73% complete with 36% of the crop emerged.
