AGI buys Yargus Manufacturing

An Illinois manufacturer of fertilizer handling equipment has been sold.  Yargus Manufacturing of Marshall, Illinois will be acquired by Ag Growth International of Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Yargus Manufacturing makes material handling equipment including mixers and conveyors.

President and majority stockholder Larry Yargus issued a statement saying the sale to AGI is the best decision for employees, customers, and suppliers, and presents the best strategic path for both companies.

Yargus says the company began under his father’s leadership in 1968 as Layco.
