Arkansas crops: 22% corn, 10% soybeans planted

A big week of planting progress for Arkansas farmers. 

Statewide, 22 percent of corn was planted, and 9 percent of the crop emerged. Rice was 13 percent planted, and 1 percent emerged. Soybeans were 10 percent planted.

Winter wheat is 16 percent headed, with 61 percent rated good to excellent.

Hay conditions are 39 percent good to excellent, pasture conditions are 45 percent good to excellent, and vegetables are 50 percent good to excellent.
