Arkansas harvest nears completion

A week of decent weather pushed Arkansas harvest progress even further. Rice is 97 percent harvested.  Cotton harvest is 89 percent complete.  Soybean harvest is 82 percent complete. 

Ninety-seven percent of peanuts have been dug with 76 percent harvested.

Pastures are rated 31 percent good to excellent.  Vegetables are rated 65 percent good to excellent.  Seventy-one percent of the winter wheat crop is planted and 56 percent is emerged. 

Eighty-nine percent of Topsoil and eighty-five percent of Subsoil are called adequate to surplus.
