ASA “call to action”

Between now and when Congress returns to Washington on November 15, to begin a “lame duck” session and then again after Thanksgiving to complete “unfinished business,” the American Soybean Association (ASA) is urging farmers to contact Members of Congress.

ASA has four key items of “unfinished business” important to U.S. soybean farmers.

• Extension of the biodiesel tax credit

• Estate tax legislation

• Passage of the South Korean Free Trade Agreement (possibly the Columbia and Panama FTA’s) and,

• Removal of trade barriers with Cuba
