Ashley Bauer crowned Missouri State Fair Queen

2013 Missouri State Fair Queen Ashley Bauer_EDITAshley Bauer from Warrenton was crowned the 2013 Missouri State Fair Queen. The 19-year old Miss Warren County studies Business Administration, Equine General Studies with a concentration in equine assisted therapy at William Woods University. She will reign over the remaining State Fair events and be an ambassador for the Missouri State Fair and agriculture throughout the coming year.

Queen contestants were judged in multiple areas including interview, speech, talent and evening gown. Bauer received the highest score out of 64 contestants in the evening gown competition and was crowned by the 2012 Missouri State Fair Queen, Emily Wood of Palmyra.

As Queen, Bauer will receive a $1,500 scholarship to continue her education.

McKensie Garber, representing Hale FFA Alumni was named first runner-up. Second runner-up honor went to Roberta Burns, Miss Monroe County 4-H. Hillary Snyder, representing Northwest Missouri State University Collegiate Farm Bureau was named third runner-up. Fourth runner-up honor went to Loren Fox, Miss North Central Missouri.
