Best cheese in the world is from the USA

For the first time, an American made cheese has won the Best Cheese in the World award at the World Cheese Awards in Bergamo, Italy.

The winner was Rogue River Blue, by Rogue Creamery of Oregon.

Overall, it was the USA’s best showing ever, as USA Cheeses won 131 medals in the competition.

There were 3,804 entries from 42 countries.
