Burbrink’s named YF Achievement Award winners

For Brad and Amber Burbrink of Vigo County, being named the 2010 Indiana Young Famer Achievement Award winners is quite an honor.

The Burbrink’s farm just south of Terre Haute with Amber’s parents and brother, something that Amber considers important.

“Family is important, I grew up that family is the most important and for my kids to get to be around their grandparents and aunts and uncles, I think they’re blessed,” said Amber. “I think that we are all blessed to be able to be a family and be a business, and we all still like each other at the end of the day, I think it’s wonderful.”

As state winners the Burbrink’s will represent Indiana in the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) Young Farmer and Rancher Achievement Award contest next month in Atlanta.

“Well it’s always exciting to go the national level to compete, we’re very excited an hope to do well and represent Indiana to the best of our ability,” Brad said.

As for Amber, and the trip to Atlanta.

“A little nervous, but hopefully like Brad said we’ll represent Indiana well,” said Amber. “We’ll do our best.”
