Certified Livestock Producer workshops

As part of the Certified Livestock Producer Program (CLPP), the Indiana State Department of Agriculture (ISDA) will hold a series of workshops this month to introduce livestock producers to the voluntary program, Program Manager, John Nagle tells Brownfield the free workshops will feature industry experts in the five areas the CLPP addresses.

“Which is the environmental section, food safety and animal welfare, biosecurity, good neighbor policy and emergency planning,” Nagel said.

Workshops will be held:

January 18 – Beck Ag Center Purdue University, 4540 US 52 West, West Lafayette, IN

January 25 – Whitley County Farm Bureau Office, 607 N Opportunity Dr., Columbia City, IN

January 29 – Southwestern Ag Department, Southwestern High School, 167 S Main Cross St., Hanover, IN

All sessions are 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (Local time)
