Checking on farmers amid tornado, continued floods

Missouri ag leaders are checking on their farmer members in the path of a tornado last night that ripped through the town of Eldon and Jefferson City and, so far, no reports of severe agricultural damages, but that could change.

Meanwhile, Brownfield’s meteorologist Greg Soulje says there is more severe weather on the way along with increased flooding. Residents of North Jefferson City, across the Missouri River began evacuating yesterday. There’s a report of a farm damaged by the tornado across the river and its owners are working on evacuating because of the rising flood waters.
