Cool weather and some snow in the forecast

Snow is in the forecast for northern states. Brownfield Ag Meteorologist Greg Soulje says the systems will bring decent moisture.

“The water equivalent is going to be two to four inches and on top of that, healthy snows in the Dakotas, Minnesota and Wisconsin.”

Temperatures will cool down through the week across the Midwest.

“Some days, we have this November feel. In the middle part of the week, it will be a September feel, with a slight warm up. Then, the bottom drops out and we have a feel that’s more normal to mid-January. Temps may drop to the mid-to-upper teens.”

Dryness and drought will continue to be a reality across the remainder of the Plains and Midwest. Soulje says major drought relief is unlikely in the short-term.
