Dairy farmers look to nutrition tools to improve efficiency, health

Zinpro Corporation discovery researcher Daryl Kleinschmit says he’s visiting with dairy farmers about improving efficiency during World Dairy Expo this week.

“Improve transition health, reduce lameness, improve reproduction. So I think it’s the same topics every year, maybe a little different spin. But every year people come with a lot of the same questions, depending on the economics at the time.”

He tells Brownfield Zinpro provides trace mineral nutrition.

“Supplementing with zinc, manganese, copper, cobalt, now chromium. These are tools we can use to help the farms improve feed efficiency, reduce lameness, improve reproductive performance.”
