Day 1 of the Wisconsin FFA Convention

81st annual Wisconsin State FFA Convention is underway in Madison. The various competitions were held Tuesday morning, Billy Marshall of the Kickapoo FFA won the State Creed Speaking Contest, Donnie Radcliff of Pardeeville won the State Prepared Speaking Contest and the Whitehall FFA won the Junior High Quiz Bowl.

Proficiency Awards were also presented on Tuesday, a complete list is available from Wisconsin Ag Connection here:

The convention runs through Thursday morning when the top chapters in the state will be honored. State President BJ Chrisler says the chapters are ranked in three different categories, student, chapter and community activities. “We like to see how chapters can bring all three together,” says Chrisler. He notes that while the same chapters are in the running every year, it seems there is a different winner each year.
