Dry weather aiding harvest progress

Corn harvest is nearly complete in Arkansas.

USDA’s latest crop update shows the pace of corn harvest ahead of the five-year average with just three percent remaining.

Soybeans are 47 percent harvested, slightly ahead of average, and the pace of cotton, rice, and peanut harvest is near normal.

Winter wheat planting is behind at eight percent complete, with dry soils statewide.
