Ethanol production, stocks down on week
Weekly ethanol production was modestly lower last week, while stocks got a little tighter. The U.S. Energy Information Administration says production averaged 1.064 million barrels a day, down 8,000 on the week, the first decline since September. Stocks were down 17,000 barrels at 21.798 million, but that’s 2.075 million barrels below a year ago.
The USDA’s next for corn ethanol use estimate is out January 10th.
