Exposing Leadership Ohio to agriculture

For the past couple of years, John Buck with Turnkey Leadership Group has put together an agricultural weekend as part of the Leadership Ohio program. Buck says the weekend provides Leadership Ohio participants with exposure to a segment of Ohio’s economy that many may only drive by, but not recognize the importance of agriculture to Ohio.

“It’s not about going in depth and trying to tell them too much,” Buck said. “It’s to bring an awareness so when they’re driving down the road they’re not looking at a field and saying what’s that, they’re actually saying, wow, there’s a lot more to that, from the equipment that’s out there, the dollars it takes, all the different pieces to it and a greater appreciation to where their food is coming from.”

The Leadership Ohio agricultural weekend is going to be held October 12 and 13 in Marion County.
