Forage production workshops

A series of forage production workshops will be held January 30, February 4 and February 11 at various locations around the state. John Smith, Extension educator in Auglaize County says the workshops will provide livestock producers with the latest in forage production techniques.

“What’s new in hay genetics, small grains and double cropping for forages, we’ll get in to fertility,” said Smith. “Precision agriculture technologies for forage production and of course corn silage is a big forage for dairy and beef.”

The forage production workshops will be held in Ashtabula, Darke, Licking, Mahoning, Morrow and Wayne counties.
