Free Soil Health Exposition in Missouri

The University of Missouri and USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) are offering a free Soil Health Exposition August 9and 10.  The event will be held at MU’s Bradford Research and Extension Center (about six miles from Columbia) and will feature vendors, tours, and demonstrations about soil quality and health.

A training session each day will explain how to sample fields and how to interpret the results of the sample testing.  Two nationally known speakers will also talk about the use of cover crops on their own farms.  They both have helped pioneer the use of cover crops and no-till practices.

The admission to the expo is free, but attendees should preregister by calling (573) 884-7945.  They can also tend a text message to (660) 351-4696 or an email to [email protected].
