Harvest wrapping up in Arkansas

Cotton, peanut and soybean harvest are nearing completion in Arkansas.

USDA says 96% of the cotton is harvested and peanut harvest is 92% complete, both a significant advancement from the previous week. 95% of soybeans are harvested, a slight increase from the previous week.

Almost three-quarters of the winter wheat has been planted with nearly half of the crop emerged.  Winter wheat is rated 55% good to excellent.

Livestock conditions are rated 57% good to excellent. Pasture conditions are rated 34% good to excellent. Vegetable conditions are rated 56% good.
