Heirloom Rose Garden Open House

The Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center’s (OARDC) Heirloom Rose Garden Open House and plant sale is going to be held Saturday, June 8 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the garden located in Wooster.

All plants in the sale will be $15 and have been propagated from roses in the three acre garden that is home to about 1500 heirloom rose plants.

Heirloom roses are rose types that were developed before 1867, when the first hybrid tea rose came out. Also called antique roses or old garden roses, they’re known for their fragrance, easy care, and broad range of plant forms and flower colors.
