Hoosier Horsepower lesson plans available

Thanks to the Indianapolis Colts and the Indiana Corn Marketing Council (ICMC) and Indiana Soybean Alliance (ISA), high school teachers in Indiana now have at their disposal Hoosier Horsepower lesson plans that will help students better understand the benefits of biofuels produced in Indiana.

“We wanted to develop lesson plans which were comprehensive enough to explain the benefits of biofuels, but easily implemented in the classroom,” said Mark Henderson, ICMC and ISA executive director. “We think combining solid lesson plans with the appeal of an NFL star like Dallas Clark will make this an exciting program for students and teachers.”

For each catch made by Indianapolis Colts tight end Dallas Clark this season, the Colts will donate $100 to the Fueling Our Future Scholarship Fund. Students utilizing the lesson plans will also be eligible for the scholarships.

Lesson plans for middle school and elementary school students will be available by the end of the year.
