HSUS endorses Ohio governor Strickland
The lobbying arm of the Humane Society of the United States has endorsed Ohio Governor Ted Strickland for re-election as Ohio’s governor.
In making the endorsement, the Humane Society Legislative Fund cited Strickland’s central role in crafting an animal welfare agreement between HSUS and Ohio agricultural groups earlier this year. The agreement helped avoid another animal welfare ballot initiative battle in Ohio this fall.
