ICMC to announce flex fuel pump program

The Indiana Corn Growers Association will host their second Indiana Ethanol Forum today, Thursday, June 9 in Indianapolis. Greg Noble, Biofuels Director for the Indiana Corn Marketing Council (ICMC) says the forum will focus on a couple of areas, the importance of ethanol to the state’s economy, NASCAR’s switch to ethanol, as well as some of the ethanol policy discussions taking place at the federal level, that discussion will be led by Growth Energy CEO Tom Buis. Noble also tells Brownfield the Indiana Corn Marketing Council will roll out a new program.

“The Indiana Corn Marketing Council, our board of directors that oversees the corn checkoff program will rollout a flex fuel pump grant program that will help consumers get that choice at the pump by providing some economic incentive to retailers to install a blender or flex fuel pump that can mix various blends beyond E85, such as E30,” Noble said.

Noble will also provide an update of the Ethanol Economic Impact Study during the forum.
