IL Soybean young leader exchange with Brazil

Illinois Soybean Association board members are talking with a Brazilian soybean group about setting up a young leader exchange program. ISA chairman Ron Moore, a producer from Roseville, says they’re interested in encouraging young leaders to “learn about the global scale of soybean production.” Board members met in Brazil in late January with Brazilian soybean growers – members of “APROSOJA” – about the project.  Two Illinois Soy Ambassadors were on the trip and invited two young Brazilian counterparts to the Midwest, perhaps by this spring. The groups have been meeting since 2008 and will get together again at the 2010 Commodity Classic next month.
