Indiana farmers to learn about crop management, technology, and more
It’s not too late for Hoosier farmers to learn about crop management, technology, and more during the Purdue University Farm Management Tour.
Purdue University’s Jim Mintert says “these are three innovative farms that have been very successful over a period of years. There will be opportunities to learn how they’re passing the farms on to the next generation and how they’ve implemented technology. One of the farms has been engaged in carbon sequestration and a couple of the farms are using cover crops. So, there is a lot of information to absorb and learn from.”
The tour is Thursday, July 8, and Friday, July 9, in Posey and Vanderburgh Counties.
The event is free, but farmers should register. Click here for more information.
