Indiana’s harvest pace speeds up

Warmer than normal weather in Indiana promoted farmers to catch up with harvest near the five-year average.

The USDA says corn is 82 percent harvested for grain and moisture content at 19 percent for the week.

Soybeans are 94 percent harvested, with the average moisture level remaining at 13 percent.

Winter wheat is 92 percent planted, 75 percent emerged, and rated 72 percent good to excellent.
