Iowa farmers win tractor leases, biodiesel
Two eastern Iowa farmers are the winners of 200-hour tractor leases in the Iowa Soybean Association’s Opportunity Sweepstakes.
Craig Sage of Waterloo won the lease of a Case IH Magnum 335 tractor, while Steve Prybil of Riverside received a John Deere 8320R tractor lease. Both men signed up for the lease giveaway at the Farm Progress Show.
Sage says it was his 8-year old son who convinced him to sign up for the red tractor. “Our son Mitch had gone (with me) that day—he didn’t have school—and he said ‘Oh, do the red one,’” Sage said. “So I checked the red one and we ended up getting the lease on that.”
Prybil signed up at the urging of a friend, ISA District 6 Director Ben Schmidt.
“That was the most luck I’ve ever experienced,” says Prybil. “Occasionally I’ll play the lottery and this and that, and I might win a free ticket or whatever. I’ve never won anything of this magnitude in my life.”

Sage and Prybil also won 15-hundred dollars worth of soy biodiesel to fuel their tractors.
