Kentucky crops: corn 34%, soybeans 14% harvested

The lack of precipitation in the state has paved the way for farmers to push full-speed ahead with harvest.

Corn harvest is 34% complete and 74% mature with 67% rated good to excellent.  Soybean harvest is 14% complete with 41% dropping leaves and 64% rated good to excellent.

Tobacco is 85% cut and 59% housed.  Winter wheat is 1% planted.

Pasture conditions are mostly fair to good with 38% rated good to excellent.  But rains are needed for regrowth. 

Topsoil is 48% and subsoil is 52% adequate to surplus.
