Michigan wants input on specialty grants

The Michigan Department of Agriculture is seeking public input on specialty crop grants over the next month.

Comments will be accepted until December 27 to help ensure the grant projects align with program priorities.

Nearly $2 million in grants were awarded in 2018 focused on market enhancement, research, training and education.

The Specialty Crop Block Grant Program uses federal funding to enhance the competitiveness of the state’s specialty crops.
