Missouri Ag Dept: Dicamba complaint update

The number of dicamba misuse complaints in Missouri has risen over the past week.

The Missouri Department of Agriculture has received 68 dicamba complaints, 50 of which are from southeast Missouri.

The complaints cover nearly 13-thousand acres of soybeans as well as complaints about damages to specialty crops, flowers and residential trees.

Fifteen complaints are alleged 2,4-D damage, as of this Tuesday, covering nearly one-thousand acres of cotton and 80 acres of soybeans, as well as commercial and residential produce and trees. The University of Missouri’s lead weed scientist says they have on-the-ground reports of more dicamba damages to soybeans than have been reported to the ag department so far this year.
