NAMA marketing competition deadline nears

The deadline is approaching for for NAMA student chapter approvals for the Student Marketing Competition.

Products used in the competition must be received by NAMA by Feb. 1, 2013.

What’s incorporated into the competition:

  • Products must be an agricultural product/commodity or service. An agricultural product/commodity or service is defined as one that is a direct input for, or output of, an agricultural application, marketed with a clearly demonstrated objective of improving producer income or productivity. This producer benefit must be demonstrated/described within your written and/or oral presentation.
  • Plans must emphasize value-added differentiation, utilizing marketing techniques to increase the value of an existing product/commodity or service.
  • The product/commodity or service you select must assume that you are operating in an established market with a primary objective being the displacement of major competitors to gain market share.

Schools MUST have products approved to qualify. Once approved, student chapters must submit their marketing plans by March 15, 2013.

For more information, read the competition guidelines at NAMA.org.
