New FSA county committee election deadline

There’s an extra week to cast ballots for Farm Service Agency county committee members this year. FSA Administrator Val Dolcini has moved the original deadline from December 5th to December 13th.

One-third of FSA county committee seats are up for election every year, “We do this in a staggered fashion so we’re not electing entirely new county committees all over the country so that we’ll have a little bit of continuity in all of these various committees.”

Ballots can be cast in local FSA offices or by mail, postmarked no later than December 13th.

Winners serve a three-year term. They’ll be sworn in January first.
