NRCS proposes second round of standard updates

The Natural Resources Conservation Service wants public input on proposed changes to practice standards.

As required by the 2018 Farm Bill, NRCS has reviewed all of its national conservation standards and updated nearly 60 after public review last year.

There are 23 proposed changes in 2021 including waste treatment for milk house greywater, Energy Efficient Agricultural Operations, dry hydrants for fire suppression, and stream crossing to allow vented fords.

Comments will be accepted until April 8th.
