Oprah show will promote veganism

It appears Oprah Winfrey is taking another shot at the meat industry—and this time she’s including dairy and eggs as well.

According to her web site, today’s (Tuesday’s) Oprah show will focus on veganism.  It is entitled “Oprah and 378 staffers go vegan: The one-week challenge.”  As Oprah puts it in a promo for the show, “No meat, no milk, no animal anything.”   One segment of the show will feature a tour of a meat packing plant and “modern agriculture” critic Michael Pollan will be one of her guests.

Oprah has had run-ins with the meat industry before.  The most notable event took place in 1996 when Oprah did a show on BSE in cattle and exclaimed that she would never eat another hamburger.  A group of Texas cattlemen filed a defamation lawsuit against Winfrey, but eventually lost their case.

  • Oprah does not have A CLUE AND CANNOT BUY A VOWEL…..SHE HAS DONE SOME GOOD WORK IN NON-AG ARENAS, BUT WHEN IT COMES TO AGRICULTURE/ANIMAL WELFARE SHE IS DUMBER THAN A POST! personally,I would not give her the time of day……….the word that best describes her is PHONY!

  • I think it also important to remember that Oprah is one of President Obama’s greatest supporters. Her slander of agriculture also gives us a glimpse of the Obama agenda. I certainly hope friends of agricultre remember instances like these when the next presidential election comes.

  • ATTENTION OPRAH: Your gut and your butt are so huge because your body is screaming for missing nutrients found in high quality red meat! This is why you cannot control your appeitite!
