Perdue jokes about Green New Deal
U.S. Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue did not have much to say when asked about the Green New Deal during a House Ag Committee hearing Wednesday.
“Aside from giving our cattle Pepto-Bismol, I’m not sure what we can do.”
Perdue was referencing a part of the legislation introduced by two freshmen members of Congress that calls out methane emissions from cattle.
Farm groups like the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association have been critical of the proposal.
NCBA’s Colin Woodall told Brownfield earlier this month the lack of detail in the Green New Deal is a concern.
who ever came up with new “Green New Deal” Will be the first in line for “Methane Emissions”!
