Rain across Nebraska slows harvest last week

Rain across much of Nebraska slowed harvest last week.

Twenty-one percent of corn has been harvested, which is four percent ahead of average. Corn condition is 68 percent rated good-to-excellent.

More than one-third of soybeans are in – 17 percent behind last year – with the crop rated 72 percent good-to-excellent.

Sorghum condition is rated 48 percent good-to-excellent with 21 percent of the crop in.

Nearly three-quarters of dry edible beans have been harvested.

Eighteen percent of pastures are rated good-to-excellent.
