Ryan McLane receives Jo Daviess County Ag Youth Award

Ryan McLane is the recipient of this year’s Brownfield Ag Youth Award in Jo Daviess County, Illinois.

Ryan is a nine year member of 4-H and will be a senior at River Ridge High School this fall.

Ryan was President of the Shooting Stars 4-H Club this year and will be President of the Jo Daviess County Federation next year. He has been an active member of YLT (Youth Leadership Team) since its inception last year. Ryan has been involved in the following project areas: Beef, Goats, Sheep, Vet Science, Plants and Soils, and Crops.

The son of Annette and Donald McLane, Ryan tells Brownfield Ag Youth Award sponsor WCCI that he feels fortunate to live in a rural, agricultural-rich area.
