Sheep and wool market development program funds new projects
The Indiana Sheep and Wool Market Development Program is funding four new projects to promote the state’s sheep and lamb industry. Current administrator Jerry Fankhauser says the program is focused on raising awareness for the sheep and wool industry.
The four projects that will receive funding are the Indiana State Fair sheep shearing contest, the Scottsburg High School lamb carcass evaluation project, the Scottsburg High School Family and Consumer Science lamb education, and the Indiana Sheep Association meeting and symposium.
The Program supports educational, promotional, and research efforts involving sheep in Indiana
