South Dakota State FFA Officer team transitions

The new president of the South Dakota FFA says she’s looking forward to the year ahead.

Maya Howard from Miller, South Dakota tells Brownfield “the state officers are always people I’ve looked up to and I hope I can be the same for South Dakota FFA members.”

Former state FFA president Alyssa Feather from eastern South Dakota says getting to know FFA members better is the best part of the experience and there’s a place for everyone in the FFA.

“There’s a diverse amount of opportunities. I didn’t expect to find my place in the FFA and taking the first step to join can make a big difference.”

Other members of the 2024-2025 South Dakota FFA Officer Team include: Vice President Raul Berrones from Milbank, Secretary Ethan Hendrix from Rapid City Stevens, Treasurer Bailey Weegar from Viborg-Hurley, Reporter Hailey Kizer from Howard and Sentinel Ben Storm from Sturgis.

The South Dakota FFA Convention wrapped up on Saturday in Brookings.
